The CPS framework opens for applications
The Construction Professional Services framework has opened for applications! Here's what suppliers need to know.
So, after some waiting, the Construction Professional Services framework (or CPS framework for short) is now open for supplier applications. With an estimated value of at least £800m during its lifetime, it’s a great opportunity for suppliers of the right services. It opens the door for the private sector to help transform the public sector and services for citizens.
Suppliers now have until 20th April to complete their applications. So don’t leave it until the last minute!
Here is the contract notice, and here’s what suppliers should do now the doors are open…
Download the associated documents
When a framework like this opens, Crown Commercial Service will make available all of the documents related to it. This is usually done by the online portal associated to the framework and is called an ITT. This usually includes items such as:
- An ‘About the framework’ document
- Instructions on how to bid
- All questionnaire templates/response templates (such as pricing spreadsheets etc)
- and all other legal forms and guidance associated.
We suggest, before getting stuck in, to read through these carefully. Make sure you can meet everything asked for including Social Value requirements and ethical standards, and then get planning. Create a plan of action on the best way forward to complete the application to the best of your ability!
Understand how the CPS framework works
If you’re not familiar with how it all works, then you’ll need to be. There’s no point applying for something you don’t know how to use, especially if you’re successful and awarded a place.
Do you know how to win contracts when it goes Live? Have you thought about how it sits in your public sector strategy? What value can you bring to the public sector?
Our recent webinar went into the hows and whys. You can check it out here.
Dedicate some time to your application
Framework applications like these take time. They shouldn’t be left to the last minute. Plan your teams and make sure you have the right people available for the right parts of the application. You might have to get people in from marketing to help with your previous experience or finance for pricing, for example.
Getting on to the CPS framework is competitive. You’ll want to make sure you have the right information and make yourselves buyable.
